dc.description.abstract | This dissertation aims to analyze if the Portal of access to information and transparency of the Court of Justice of the State of Santa Catarina – TJSC makes possible the transparency and the conditions for the effectiveness of the control and supervision of the activities carried out by the TJSC and, consequently, the exercise of citizenship. Given that access to information is conceived as a fundamental democratic right and, as far as it is concerned, the principle of transparency promotes not only publicity but also effective access to information. Thus, the qualitative-quantitative method was used, whose nature is the applied research, being classified as exploratory research of the case study type. The technical procedure had a bibliographical survey, interviews with ordinary people who had experiences with the problem or not, and an analysis of the accessibility and transparency of the information available in the Portal of the Court of Justice of the State of Santa Catarina – TJSC. However, it has been identified that despite all legislative developments and any technological advances in favor of providing public information accessibility to citizens, the TJSC still has room for improvement in its engagement in access and publicity through this kind of valuable tool to the Democratic State of Law, which is the Portal for access to information, since it did not provide an accessible, practical and objective cyberspace in its entirety. | en |
