dc.description.abstract | This dissertation approaches the terror in contemporary Brazilian films, particularly in the work of Marco Dutra and Rodrigo Aragão. Terror here is thought of as a virtual (BERGSON, 2006; DELEUZE, 2008) that is updated in the cinema, but not only. These updates carry meanings of terror and fear of the time when these films emerge. In order to understand the ways in which terror is updated in the chosen filmmakers, we think of their works in the form of Monads (BENJAMIN, 2006) that make a contemporary film (AGAMBEN 2009) of many others. Among the final considerations, we perceive that fears not guaranteeing a future and the fear of not guaranteeing physical integrity are the contemporary constructs that are most updated in the films in question and at the time they emerge. | en |
