dc.description.abstractThe work studies the low compliance in the credit card purchase by retirees of the INSS - National Institute of Social Security, the agency Banrisul Borges de Medeiros, Who has only 520 active credit cards to the public. The agency hás 2,114 customers who receive their salaries in the current account and Social Security has more than 522 retirees Who receive Social Security with thecard and have no bank account. The methodology used was the asymmetry of information that speaks of inside information on both sides, both the bank and the client. The bank must believe the information provided by the client and the client must trust the information that the contract signed with the bank favors for their benefit. Most customers who answered the questionnaireproposed is aged 70 and above 70 years, 81 to 70 clients and 73 clients over 70 years. Although 104 of the 182 interviewedcustomers already have other credit cards, it became clear that this is the reason for noncompliance with credit card Banrisul. It was found that 110 of these 182 customers use the product Banricompras Banrisul used with the card account which allowspurchases to the spot and forward, but has no tax cost to the customer.pt_BR
