The current scenario demands new standards of competitiveness, regardless of the sector in which the firm is embedded, making it possible for organizations to change their strategy to meet market demands. These course corrections occur through improvements in processes, products and the use of performance indicators. In this context, this paper attempts to analyze the performance measurement adopted by a construction company in Porto Alegre. For this purpose, we use the bibliography as the basis directed to issues of strategic planning and evaluation system desempanho indicators, and based on the theory, we propose a method to evaluate critically the indicators used by the organization. In the case study we conducted a survey of information from an exploratory approach and method of qualitative analysis. The method was in a certain project of the company, evaluated the operational indicators of management work, being appointed a set of suggestions for improving the management system as a product of the analysis.
