This study was carried out at “Colégio Anchieta – Nova Friburgo/RJ”, and aimed to investigate and learn about the developed practices in different areas of knowledge, highlighting the use of creativity and creative potentials. The study was developed based on interviews and participant observations, chosen research instrument, with teachers / coordinators and everyday practice observation, which enabled a more detailed and careful analysis. Colégio Anchieta is more than a historical school. Nevertheless, we notice that the practice of innovative and creative actions sometimes happen in an involuntary way. It sought to rescue the senses and understanding of creativity and the perceptions of how this element is used, the innovations and creations that are part of the teaching work and the possibilities of optimizing the use of creativity in the work developed by the school. Inspired by the Common Educational Project of the Jesuit Schools Network, it is no longer possible to reproduce a traditional way of education, focused on teaching and the teacher. There is a need for new practices so as to change the school into a learning center, where the construction of knowledge occurs in a collective and non-stop process. For this reason, creativity is a requirement in this possibility to innovate, to do more and differently. Noticing how through the proper use of creative and innovative methods, we can foster a deeper and more meaningful encounter with knowledge and the construction of a more just, fraternal and cooperative society. The school, a rich environment in sharing experiences, can develop strategies so that, since childhood, the student discovers and develops his human potential, learns how to take care of life and how to celebrate moments that are lived in both personal and collective dimensions, with creativity and innovative proposals. The results allow an investigation of creativity in a school context, as an integrated component of the human being, with potentiality needs and desire to do differently. The reading of teachers' discourses, practices and perceptions show creativity as an essential element to the teacher’s work considering the need for the expected learning and the construction of a complete individual in the perspective of integral education.en
