dc.description.abstractThis article aims to describe some relevant aspects of the contribution of children 's literature to the socioemotional development of children of 4 and 5 years of age. It is already widely known that the supply and exploitation with children of this type of literature positively and intensely impacts the cognitive development of infants. In this way, the literary world, through fantasy, provides the child with an experience of building and understanding the meaning of the world and of himself. In short, specifically, this work aims to highlight intercession with the affective, psychic and social dimensions, with emphasis on the concept of self-construction by D. Winnicott.en
