dc.description.abstract | This work is the result of an academic research to obtain a Master's Degree in Education by the Postgraduate Program in Education of the Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos - UNISINOS. The theme is the pedagogical management in distance technical courses and its objective is to analyze the expression(s) of pedagogical management in distance technical courses in two private schools in Rio Grande do Sul State. From an exploratory qualitative methodology, the research had as empirical field of two private school institutions from Rio Grande do Sul state. Data collection included data on enrollments, academic productions, institutional documents, national and state legal bases, and semi-structured interviews conducted with the coordinator and supervisor of the technical courses in the distance modality of each of the institutions surveyed. The data were analyzed from the documentary
analysis (Cellard, 2012) and content analysis (Bardin, 2011). Theoretical foundation
addressed the categories of structural duality, educational market, public and educational policies, school and pedagogical management, school as an educational organization and managerialism in education. The discussions were based on Kuenzer (2007), Ball (2001, 2006, 2012, 2013), Afonso (2000), Ozga (2000), Mainardes (2006), Libâneo (2004, 2016), Werle , Luck (2006-2011), Paro (2003, 2010) Lima (2011), Morgan (1996) and Hypolito (2011), among others. As results, it was noticed that there is an emptying of the pedagogical expressions in this format and teaching modality, with disregarded regulatory laws, dealing with the operational demands to offer the courses and leaving space for the free operation and
organization of the institutions, representing a new opportunity of commodification of education. The institutions that participated in the research have different formats in
the organization, operation and management of their courses. The pedagogical aspect is present in educational institutions, but, based on the results, it is perceived that it is emptied and reduced to a sector or department within the institutions. Marketing and managerial influences are present in legislations, academic productions, institutional documents and interviews, where the administrative bureaucracy is much more evident than pedagogical issues, confirming what the enrollment data showed in the mapping of this modality and teaching offer. | pt_BR |
