Acessibilidade no planejamento dos espaços públicos abertos e a inclusão do idoso: ações para o Parque Itaimbé em Santa Maria-RS
Description
Many contemporary cities are currently experiencing a crisis in the appropriation of open public spaces, due to the existence of spatial accessibility restrictions found in many of these places, which prevents a large group of people, including some elderly people, from exercising their right to leisure, entertainment and socializing. The Industrial Revolution is within this historical context that has led to the current situation, as it has had a strong impact on the economy of many urban centers, provoking the accelerated growth of cities in general and the demand for more and more infrastructure in the midst of cities to meet the aspirations of societies modern. As a result of these large-scale interventions, they were carried out within the public space, without taking into account the peculiarities, social, regional and sustainability. Many cities nowadays have used creativity to reinvent themselves in order to solve many of these problems, through planning more focused on social inclusion, creativity, sustainability, innovation and use of the economy in order to have results that are reverted to quality gains of local life. This work, therefore, uses these concepts to propose to the object of study, Itaimbé park, a survey allied to findings, made by this author, that can serve as a basis and orientation for the creation of future scenarios that will guide the planning process and elaboration of projects aimed at the elderly within this public space and extended to others.Nenhuma
