This is an exploratory research, based on information of a qualitative nature, predominantly secondary data from publications, videos and products. The objective is the understanding of two distinct systems of design production by the strategic perspective, presenting, with this, principles that guide design practices of author design. Also, to identify the difficulties and challenges of authorial projects from the experience of the Campana and Ron Arad, and to analyze the role of the companies Edra and Moroso in the copyright projects for these designers' chairs. It is a relevant research to the strategic design, because it relates companies and authors with a concern to develop not only the correct product, but the correct product in the most efficient process. The designers were chosen by criteria of contemporaneity, among them predominance by the type of object produced (chairs) and by the recognition of the market and of the media in world-wide level. The companies were chosen for their successful relationship with the research designers, for their long-standing performance in the furniture market, and for management guided by strategic design.Nenhuma
