Description
This paper aims to highlight the importance of methodology of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in organizations, to improve the management of maintenance of machinery and equipment. The work aims to apply a management model for the maintenance section of Criare Furniture, based on the concepts of methodology of Total productive maintenance (TPM). The focus area for the development of the work is the "maintenance" section, where the concept of TPM was applied only to a single industrial equipment. The work aimed at the use of the methods and procedures of research, highlighting the type and area of research, the techniques of collection and analysis of data and the limitations of the proposed method. The work used the case study method, because it won't be able to have their results quantitatively generalized, not even to Criare Furniture or other companies, because the method does not allow for analytical generalizations of the results extended to other companies or equipment. The results obtained show that the TPM is very important within the Organization, because it involves the team, using all the steps of the tool in a degree necessary for the success of the system. Discusses the developer and involves the definition of the goals of the project, working on the equipment and on the tasks that were necessary to improve the manufacture of the products. It is observed that the application of the TPM helps to improve the efficiency of the equipment, where the operators' involvement is essential, taking into account the problems and difficulties to which it is exposed in their daily lives and with it the way he reacts to these problems, tracing strategies to be adopted to solve the defect without compromising productivity and the quality of his work. The result shows a significant change in people's behavior, regardless of their area of expertise with involvement and control through the TPM tool, showing the path to be followed when equipment failure. The tool helps in the organization of tasks and supports maintenance, reducing overhead costs at the concert of the machinery.
