Description
It is considered here the realization of a case study of qualitative nature, through theoretical reference and concepts from diverse authors about quality of life, taking place in the company Unicred do Brasil - Unidade Porto Alegre, with the purpose of analyzing the perceptions of some of the main managers and collaborators on this theme, indicating suggested improvements. Concepts about stress and occupational diseases are also presented in this work, considering that nowadays, a sedentary lifestyle and heavy workloads are rising, generating loss to employees’ health and costs for the companies. The transformations of contemporaneity, with new technologies, information and demands that bring uncertainty and instability to the working class, make quality of working life discussions even more meaningful. For the realization of this study, interviews were conducted with some of the main managers and collaborators in the company. Indirect observation was applied as well as the analysis of company documents. Therefore, suggestions of improvements were gathered through the collected statements. It was verified that the company already fills a few quality of life requirements, like a favorable environment, reduction of working hours, among other aspects, but there is plenty to be done and improved, for example, paycheck equity, heavy workloads and prevention of occupational diseases.
