This article aims to conduct a comparative assessment between the sealing test methods for respirators applied in waste management activity, seeking an efficient way to choose this method as well, to study the process of using this respiratory protective equipment activity, aiming thereby better protection to users of this personal protective equipment. By a study of respiratory protective equipment (RPE), a review scenarios and the appropriate respirator for each chemical agents, and analyzing the different types of sealing tests, labor is intended to indicate a leak test with a lower error rate in the seal verification and therefore more efficient use in waste management activity. Finally this article, based on the results and conclusions of the evaluated tests, and proposing the sealing test most appropriate for each type of activity, hopes to contribute to theoretical subsidy to the decision-making process of choosing these RPE, by managers and responsible the waste management activity.
