dc.description.abstract | It is known that the safe waste management, especially hazardous chemical waste is very important people safety and related operations, as well as the prevention of environmental impacts. In this context and seeking regulations compliance, arose the need for preparation of Safety Data Sheet for Waste Hazardous Chemicals and the labeling definitions. From Committees and Organizations Worldwide efforts, it was identified the need for standardization and definition of the minimum data that these documents must contain, through the elaboration of a specific technical standard. This article aims to demonstrate the relevance of these documents in the safe waste management, presenting a brief history of the origin, legal foundation and composition thereof.
