This dissertation seeks dialog, narration and reflect about the urban interventions, significant presence in contemporary cities, as a cultural phenomenon of urban expression that associates a mode of political action, with emphasis on the transformation of everyday life, and the culture of communication, whose revolutionary progress introduces new features to the current society. This research aims to analyze the urban interventions considering them as daily practice and as a practice of communication, of distinct character, but complementary, and both classifications are possible aspects for a same cultural phenomenon of urban expression. To this end, we discuss the theoretical bases in relation to the practices in two configurations that complement each other, as a practice of communication and as daily practice, and for each one of these practices we have selected, for the exercise of analysis and interpretation, two themes of urban interventions. It presents the analysis and interpretation of urban interventions, while daily practice, in two thematic groups: urban interventions Political-Art and urban interventions Affective. After the theoretical reflection about the practices of communication presents the analysis and interpretation of urban interventions formed by two thematic groups: urban interventions Feminists and urban interventions Environmentalists.en
