dc.description.abstract | Nowadays the urgency and emergency services are characterized as one of the main user input ports to health services. They living with a overcrowding that is getting worse by organizational problems, such as first come first serviced service without establish clinical or standardized criteria. Based on this scenario, The Ministry of Public Health has implement the risk rating as a measure for the demand organization and humanization of service, in order to minimize the risk for the patients. The nurses have been pinpointed as the better workers to carry out checks the risk classification supported by laws, at the moment of their decisions. The goal of this dissertation is define the better protocol of the risk classification validated in Brazil in order to implement in the Thomas Martins Hospital. It is a study of the intervention type, developed in the emergence of Thomas Martins Hospital, located in Santa Ines Town, Maranhão. The collect information took place with the preparation of the situational diagnosis, evaluation and reorganization of internal and external flows, carried out by a working group made up of eight service professionals, redesign and flow mapping service, document analysis of 170 bulletins service and setting risk classification protocol that best suits local needs. After analysis by the group and coordination was chosen the risk classification protocol of Hospital Municipal Odilon Behrens (HOB). In addition, a proposal to evaluate the severity of patients in the emergency was suggested by the Score of Early Warning and training for nurses on the chosen protocol. | en |
