dc.description.abstract | This is a qualitative study, exploratory and descriptive that approaches the behavior of the postpartum mother-baby relationship. We identify the support network during the postpartum period , beyond the difficulties and feelings of the mother in self-care and care of the newborn . The postpartum period is the phase in which phenomena occur during the pre -pregnancy state, as the changes caused by pregnancy and childbirth. In this period, the woman experiences profound changes in both biological and psychological and sociocultural. It is important that the health professional values the experience of the women in the postpartum period due to emotional changes that occur with the arrival of a child. In the study, through ten semi-structured interviews with the mothers , it showed three categories: relationship with family members, difficulties in the care and feeling with care. It was concluded that the monitoring of the family and in particular the partner is a large bond strength for this moment , since the fragility of the process may generate a better understanding of this stage of life for the woman . Thus, the support is considered an anchor for coping with difficulties both in self-care and the baby care. | en |
