This study aimed to propose the application of business process management for the PPCPM sector of the Mesal Maquinas e Tecnologia Ltda., covering from modeling of key processes to the presentation of an automation suggestion for one of these processes in an IT tool called SharePoint. The data collection was conducted through observation of planning, programming and production control process and collection of relevant information with the industry managers. The data analysis was performed inside the software where the automation has been suggested. The automated process has a high-level of inter-relationship with other sectors such as business and engineering. This process represents the delivery schedule of the company's production and determines the deadlines for each step of the design to product manufacturing. The process redesign, the use of resources of IT automation software, the process performance indicators implementation and the action plan were suggested.
