Abstract

The sizing of stocks is essential for businesses. Search methodologies that can effectively lead buyers to a better analysis of shopping needs, through concepts such as safety stocks, ABC and PQR curve, level of service to customers and use methods with statistical bias that is more comprehensive. In this sense, this research seeks to work on the implementation of a new shopping needs analysis methodology and design of inventory for a distributor of small aluminum profiles. In the article discusses the importance of using well-defined methods and can be traced so always seek the best results. By mounting two worksheets you can sort the items by the ABC and PQR curves to define service levels to these items and using techniques relatively simple statistics, size stocks by increasing assertiveness in the purchase, which points to a better qualification the stock.
