dc.description.abstract | Following the tragedy of the fire at Kiss Club, in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, on January 27th, 2013, local and national authorities were forced to review their existing laws disposing on fire prevention and fire-fighting procedures. On September 10th, 2014, through the Decree 51,803, the Complementary Law 14,376 was established. This law unifies the processes of approval of the Plans of Fire Prevention and Fire-fighting. Bearing up-to-date and stricter rules, the new law comprehends the most varied activities in its requirements, including what the law calls “Transformation Sites”, which implies edification or demolition. The analysis of its norms produces a series of information that provides data to beacon and coordinate prevention actions. | en |
