dc.description.abstract | Each day, a growing number of students seek professional training along with technical education, but there is a major challenge faced by education managers: to reduce student dropout rates in technical courses in high school. In this context, educationalists in partnership with teachers have sought instruments to collect information, which helps to reduce the dropout rate. However, such action is a hardworking task for teachers. Consequently, these diagnostic tools do not often achieve the goals they were designed for. In this scenario, this work proposes the extension of a ubiquitous recommendation of model content for learners groups. The model allows a ubiquitous monitoring of learners groups through a historical record of contexts, coming out of information from the themes and topics of the syllabus, the individual profiles and student groups during the entry and exit of these groups in the context they belong to. In this work, the EduTrail was designed by using the Prometheus methodology. This work also reports how the agents were implemented in the model. Based on a case study, it was possible to set a test scenario to corresponding ratings in class by using the expanded model EduTrail, following the same test procedures used to evaluate the Ubigroup. In the end, a test questionnaire was applied among participants. The analyzed results show the feasibility of the model as well as stimulate the use of EduTrail as a practical tool to help educationalists in the ubiquitous monitoring of learners groups by registering historical contexts and for future work in order to contribute to the reduction of the dropout, collaborating to decrease the high rate indices. | en |
