U-LIBRARY: um modelo para suporte a bibliotecas ubíquas
Description
Ubiquitous computing aims to make tasks that depend on computing transparent to the users, thus providing resources and services anytime and anywhere. Library services are closely related to the use of computing technologies. Some models have been proposed in order to provide ubiquitous support to libraries. However, such models do not present some aspects that allow to offer differentiated resources to the users, such as librarian support, use of user activity history and integration with systems providing information maintained by third parties. Therefore, this paper proposes a computational model to support ubiquitous library, called U-Library. The U-Library provides resources and services to library users in order to provide support for the development of their daily tasks, regarding the recovery, access and maintenance of resources and services of a library. This dissertation discusses features present in related work, describes the model U-Library and presents aspects of implementation and evaluation of the model through a prototype. The model evaluation has occurred using real data from Library of Centro Universitário Univates, in support to daily tasks of a volunteers group.CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior
