dc.description.abstract | This research aimed to explore the practices of psychologists in the clinic of psychoses of CAPS of Santa Catarina state. The research design was mixed, with two studies occurring concurrently. The first study, section I, it is quantitative, descriptive and transversal. A total of 48 psychologists of CAPS I, II and III of the state of Santa Catarina participated. The survey instrument was an online questionnaire containing 24 questions. The data were evaluated by descriptive analysis and content analysis. The second study, in section II, was qualitative, descriptive and transversal. Data collection was performed with semi-structured interviews, analyzed through content analysis. A total of 10 psychologists CAPS I, II and III in four different regions of the state. Both had their instruments subdivided into four areas: characteristics of academic and professional career, personal and institutional assessments, identification of clinical interventions used by these professionals, as well as their difficulties and limitations. The results of section I showed improvement in undergraduate education to work in CAPS, and practices have evolved to an expanded clinic, more diverse and less focused on individual psychotherapeutic care. The evaluation of the quality of CAPS also had a positive bias, being considered as institutions that provide good services. Despite advances, there are some needs for changes such as greater focus on actions outside CAPS, the production of autonomy and desistigmatization. Regarding to improvements in services, there is the need for advances in the management of financial and human resources, in professional development, in monitoring services, in technical skills, in strengthening support networks with family and community, and better conjunction with the health network. In Section II, the results showed insufficient training to work in services. Teamwork was satisfactory, with good partnerships and being a source of pleasure to the professionals. The data also showed the evolution of practices developed by psychologists to more approximate heights of the proposed provisions contained in the psychosocial care of psychiatric reform nationwide. The Caps were assessed as having good quality in providing care. Some problems cited were: poor political management of labor, scarcity of resources, low external articulation of some CAPS. It was concluded that there is need for improvements in the training of psychologists to work in collective mental health, as well as strengthening the network action to promote gains in the process of empowerment and social reinsertion. | en |
