dc.description.abstract | This thesis is about the emancipation and development of pedagogical vision Domingos Sarmiento. Therefore, I tried to understand the Sarmiento’s vision about education, through the works of him, as well as the relationship of this with the economic development of Argentina. This study is relevant because recently it was celebrated the bicentennial of Latin American independence. In this way, it is important to understand the process by which the young Nations have passed and the solutions sought for the social and economic problems. The methodology of this study was documentary research about Sarmiento’s studies. Because of this, I could understand the concepts of emancipation and barbarism within the author's ideas. For Sarmiento, the education had a central role in the development of a prosperous society. Moreover, the understanding of the development process, which relates to education, also has relation with other important factors such as the folwark, women and the native. Through research, I checked how this relationship perpetuates and reflections which features in the construction of a new model of society, different in some aspects of that society thought by Sarmiento and at the same time similar in other aspects. | en |
