dc.description.abstract | Construction firms look for improvements in its procedures and try to surpass the general level of building industry. In the last years building firms implemented tools and practices to achieve the standardization and quality level as desired by its clients, such as the systems ISO 9000 and Brazilian? PBQP-H. In some cases, construction companies implement isolated systems to manage production, quality, safety, and environment. The integration between production and other management system is beneficial for achieving improvements in construction. However, there are not research papers that describe this kind of application in small construction companies, which constitute the majority of companies. This work studies the implementation of a full-integrated management system in a construction company, aiming to reduce wastes in the production process. The work includes the diagnosis of a company before and after the implementation of the integrated process, and the identification of outcomes. It developed through observation of three sites of similar size, in the city of Bento Gonçalves, RS, Brazil. On research process it were implemented tools on planning and control to all management systems to short, medium, and large terms. Results may conclude that there is viability to implement this system in small building companies, with waste reduction on the production process. | en |
