Involvement in design projects is a complex process which begins with a usually poorly defined and badly structured problem. The solution of design problems goes through various projecting strategies. This paper investigates a projecting strategy translated into a tool called mood board. The assumption of this research is one of regarding the mood board as a visual interface constructing metaphors which facilitate the generation of project ideas and concepts through the organization and relationship between the images it sustains. In this research the mood board is being investigated in the context of the process of projects in design, advertising, fashion consultancy and graphic signature projects. At the end, it is hoped to contribute to a better comprehension of the concept of this design tool, its characteristics, its different construction logics and its functions on the investigated project processesNenhuma
