Competências do coodenador de voluntários: um estudo exploratório em organizações da sociedade civil de Porto Alegre

The Third Sector emerged in Brazil, stimulated by the growth of social inequalities and the pressure for solutions for the most diverse questions, as an alternative to social problems. In this context, the number of volunteers in Brazil has been growing, also stimulated by the notoriety in the media and the incentive from companies. Voluntary employment is unpaid employment, a different work relation, so management of volunteers represents a challenge for the Third Sector organizations. A possible approach for this issue is to analyze competencies of the Volunteers Coordinator - responsible in each organization for volunteers’ management, including the relations between theses and the organization.
