dc.description.abstract | This thesis treats about the open Mozambican signal TV phenomenon, underlining the relation among the government, market and civil society on the challenge of the visualizing and directing of their demands. It is made a descriptive analysis of the television in its working and financing mechanisms, and of all the aspects related to the regulation of this sector. In the historic context, the research focuses on the democratic period, which has as reference, the Constitution of the 1990s and incisively on the 18/91 Law, press law. It is just in this stage that is adopted the market economy creating the basis for the emerging of TV market. Equally, it is from this stage, that there is a challenge for the audience due to the entrance of the new broadcasting channels.
