This paper presents female management at schools, social education and professional education. According to the theoretical studies about administration and school management, the investigation analyzes the management of schools and the changes that happened with the influence of the documents of Medellín (1968) and Puebla (1979). For making this survey it was used interviews and experiences of an ex-school principal and another one who still works. Both have worked at schools since 1960 in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The search was made through interviews, magazines, documents, files, chronicles, books and articles, education projects, documents of social education and charity, reports, regiments, curriculums, report cards and notes of meetings and courses. Thus, it was showed a part of the 19th century emphasizing the expansion of schools at the institution mentioned as well as the 20th century, reporting the life experience of the school principal at their workplace in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.Nenhuma
