dc.description	[pt] Esta pesquisa está marcada pela complexidade das relações entre educação e diversidade cultural, temática emergente no campo da educação, que vem sendo trabalhada mais especificamente na educação básica e foi enfatizada no ensino superior com a implementação das chamadas ações afirmativas. Tais políticas têm como objetivo superar as desvantagens que negros, mulheres e outros grupos discriminados sofreram e, para isso, buscam promover a igualdade entre os diferentes grupos que compõem a sociedade. A Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), vem desenvolvendo, desde 1994, um projeto em parceria com diversos pré-vestibulares comunitários e, mais especificamente, com o PVNC (Pré- Vestibular para Negros e Carentes), de concessão de bolsas integrais de estudo para os diversos cursos oferecidos pela universidade aos alunos/as oriundos/as de camadas populares e afrodescendentes que obtiverem aprovação no exame de vestibular. No contexto desse projeto destaca-se o curso de graduação em Serviço Social, que possui 98% de alunos/as oriundos/as de pré-vestibulares comunitários e afrodescendentes. A presente pesquisa buscou compreender como se configura a experiência desse curso de graduação dentro do universo da PUC-Rio, suas características, dificuldades,conquistas e desafios, a partir do ponto de vista de seus diferentes atores. Para isso,foram entrevistadas nove professoras, um aluno e quinze alunas do curso em questão.
dc.description	[en] This research is marked by the complexity of the relations between education and cultural diversity, an emerging theme in the field of education, specifically in basic education and now entering higher education, with the implementation of socalled affirmative action. Such policies are aimed at overcoming the disadvantages of the black population, women and other discriminated groups, seeking to promote equality among the different groups that compose society. The Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) has been developing since 1994, a project in partnership with several community courses preparing disadvantaged youths for university entrance examinations, specifically the University Entrance Examination Course for Blacks and the Poor (PVNC - Pré- Vestibular para Negros e Carentes), providing full scholarships, in several of its undergraduate courses, for students from these community courses who pass the entrance examination. Of special interest is the undergraduate course in Social Services, with 98% of its students coming from community courses and/or being black. This research project has sought to understand how the experience of this course is configured within the universe of the university, its characteristics, difficulties, conquests and challenges, from the point of view of its diverse actors. Nine professors, one male student and fifteen females students were interviewed.
