Description
This present work investigates the effects of the municipal law number 16.719/2001, created and executed by Recife´s City Hall on the civil construction and, in particular, the high buildings. The law limited not only the building line regulations now determined according to the width of the streets but also the junction of lands in twelve
neighborhoods of its territory. For such, it describes a research on the high buildings approved by the City Hall to be built in those twelve neighborhoods and others nearby. The investigation reveals its results intending to register the origins, basis and reasons of the partial scope of the referred law. At the same time, it increases the knowledge of its influence under the civil construction market whenever it identifies and correlates in the city the new surroundings aroused as migratory areas for those buildings, now limited to a maximum height of sixty meters
