The following document presents the analysis, implementation and comparison of four different MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) algorithms, also known as maximum power point tracking algorithms presented by each photovoltaic module in its characteristic curves. The most common algorithms will be studied, such as: P&O (Disturb and Observe), incremental conductance, incremental conductance with variable step and finally Hill Climbing. This implementation will be carried out with the help of Matlab’s Simulink software, in order to study what happens when a matrix of solar modules, presents a disturbance in its irradiance generating a partial shading. Concluding if the MPPT algorithms positively influence the loss of energy that partial shading influences. In addition to the main implementation that is carried out in the simulink tool, which will be where the tests will be emphasized. Software such as PSIM and PVSOL will be used to highlight the behavior of partial shading seen from other tools, where each of these will provide results seen from another perspective before the irradiance disturbance in solar modules. At the end of the document, an evaluation is carried out between the algorithms with respect to the criteria that are to be evaluated, to determine the algorithms that present an ideal behavior in the face of partial shading.
