Las migraciones en la propuesta más actual de la doctrina social de la iglesia

Abstract

Este estudio pretende mostrar el aporte de la Iglesia a las sociedades actuales sobre las migraciones. Para ello presenta una breve aproximación a este fenómeno desde cuatro importantes perspectivas: a) el marco histórico y los datos actuales a nivel global; b) las posibilidades y los límites de la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos; c) la comprensión y conciencia bíblica sobre los migrantes; d) la propuesta de la Doctrina Social de la Iglesia sintetizada en “acoger, proteger, promover e integrar”.

This study aims to show the Church’s input about migration to todays’ societies. Therefore, it brings a simple approach to this social phenomenon from four different understandings: a) history and current statistics; b) limits and possibilities from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; c) the biblical understanding and conscience about migrants; d) the proposal of the Social Doctrine of the Church addressed by the message: to welcome, to protect, to promote and to integrate.
