This dissertation sought to analyze the effects of the new High School curriculum implemented in a private school in Porto Alegre, from the point of view of the subjects of learning, that is, the students. To this end, the following question was asked: what are the perceptions of these students, especially those impacted by the new curriculum, with regard to the dimensions considered innovative in the curricular trajectory in question? Faced with this questioning, a qualitative research was built being considered a case study, whose data collection procedure included a survey, carried out through an online questionnaire and a focus group. Through data analysis, relationships were established between quantitative and qualitative aspects, and two categories of analysis emerged: (i) Tradition and innovation and (ii) Education and the world of work. By linking the results to the theoretical framework of the investigation, a reflective device for curriculum evaluation was structured. The choice for the word device was due to understanding it as an instrument capable of generating an action, namely: the evaluation of the curriculum in effect in the High School of Colégio Israelita.en
