dc.description.abstractThe practices of decision represent a challenge to the leaders, in special when the institution faces moments of adversity and changes. With the Covid-19 pandemic, the organizations experienced a period of crisis, permeated by umpredictability. Today, passed this pandemic period, we still deal with the symptoms of this reality that along with internal and external factors, influence the way leaders conduct planning and actions. Thus, the main aim of this work is to analyze the role of the leadership of the educational institution (Colégio Sagrado Coração de Jesus – Bento Gonçalves/RS) in decision making practices in an evironment of crisis to indicate convergence and divergence points of the actions in dialogue with the Rede. The theoretical reference approaches change and organizational culture, people management, organizational learning and competences, educational management and leadership in the school environment, individual and collective values, relational quality. The research classifies as a mixed study, being qualitative and quantitative, of exploratory-descriptive character. The data collection is mixed, with questionnaire, semistructured intervies and document analysis. The data analysis is made through triangulation of information, data and evidences from the different instruments applied. From the data collected and analyzed, it is seen that there is need to foment some specific issues, such as: to increment in the integrated communication both in the Educational Unit and the school with the Rede, to strenghten a feedback culture both in the school and in dialogue with the Rede, to seek for collaborative decisions within the limits os the possibilities. As a result of the presente study, it was generated a framework serving as an orientator for better decisions in a context of crisis.en
