dc.description.abstractThis dissertation has as its theme the understanding of the management of educational guidance regarding the relationship built/established between the Family and the School. For this to be possible, it began with a bibliographical research on the history of Educational Guidance in Brazil associated with the functions of educational advisors at Colégio Sagrado Coração de Jesus, in Bento Gonçalves, and with an interview with one of the members of AOERGS – Associação dos Orientadores Educacionais do Rio Grande Do Sul. Furthermore, conceptions about School and Family Institutions were also presented, in order to understand the processes of educational guidance in the school. Data collection was carried out through the analysis of the records of assistance to the families of students from the first year, fifth ear and ninth ear of Elementary School, from the last semester of 2021 and the first semester of 2022. In addition, semi-structured individual sessions interviews were carried out with the two educational advisors who monitor the School's teaching levels. The theoretical framework was based on authors such as Grinspun, Libâneo, Sennet, Charlot, Boff, Freire, Gomes, among others. The results showed that educational guidance is clear about the functions it needs to develop in the school context, but sometimes it is still prevented from performing them, due to the lightening experienced by society and that finds support in the daily life of the school today. Another point highlighted in the result is that the advisors understand the relationship between Family and School, and that they have a respectful relationship, however, the management of the educational advisor needs to be problematized for a better monitoring of children and adolescents. As an interventional action, moments of study on the Pedagogical Political Project and weekly meetings for the exchange of information, attentive look and listening were thought, in the search for a more reflective school management.en
