dc.description.abstract | The use of virtual reality games for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training has been shown to be relevant in health education. Serious games are an effective way of promoting the exchange of experiences and information. In this sense, a research was carried out in a private health institution in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, with the objective of producing the final version of the educational technology (ET), in a serious game format in virtual reality, called "Socorro: Parada Cardiac!!!''.The methodological study with a qualitative and quantitative approach was carried out in 6 stages. The results indicate that this TE is effective for teaching the technique in an interactive and engaging way, in addition to contributing to the players' learning. Gamification can be a complementary and effective tool for teaching CPR, but it cannot replace the importance of adequate training and constant practice. This study is part of the Project Management of Care and Systematization of Nursing Assistance in the Urgency and Emergency Care Network, of the Public Notice CAPES/COFEN 28/2019, approved by the Ethics and Research Committee (CEP) of the University of Vale dos Sinos under Opinion No. 4.300.05. As a product, the study produced the TE in a serious game format called ''Socorro: Cardiac Arrest!!!'', a mobile version with virtual reality: with the Android operating system available on the google play platform at the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.AtomicRocket.Enfermagem, with the Health Education Research Line, of an innovative nature, contributing to the technological and social development of the health area and nursing, with impact potential for improving practice in CPR situations. | en |
