This research has as its central theme digital technologies and their relations with child development and school context. The problematizing question takes into account the context of digital technologies in our society, relating them to the precepts of The Inatian Pedagogy and guidelines of the Base Nacional Comum Curricular. The general objective of the research is to understand the possibilities and challenges of digital technologies in the development of children attending the second year of Elementary School I, based on the perceptions of managers, teachers, parents and/or guardians of students. The research was carried out at Colégio Catarinense, located in the city of Florianópolis, a private school of philanthropic character, belonging to the Jesuit Network of Education. The participants of the research are the teachers, managers, parents and/or guardians who accompanied the students of the second year of Elementary School I in the school year 2022. The procedure adopted was the case study, with a mixed approach, of exploratory nature. The results of this research alert all subjects involved in the educational action, pointing out the benefits and risks that digital technologies present for child development. Learning to deal with them today is a fundamental competence that must be developed throughout school life and improved in adulthood. Digital technologies, in fact, brought great possibilities to human life, but with them came great challenges, which point to the need for investment in training cycles for teachers, managers and parents, in order to take a more conscious and critical stance towards the use of these resources in our social, cultural and political context. Finally, the intervention proposal of this study is a final product, and can serve as a reference for other studies that wish to reflect on the challenges and possibilities that digital technologies present to the school context, as well as for the development of children nowadays.en
