The slowly democratization of university access brought a different reality in higher education. If in the past the majority of students did not have to worry about monthly tuition payments, now most of them pay for their studies, besides that, many more go to university because of programs such as the University for All (PROUNI) or FIES. At the same time, we see that access to technology has been facilitated, besides all people having a cell phone, with it we can still do many tasks, such as recording a video, editing a video and others. In this paper we aim to show how the work with active technology in the course of Letras impacts the conceptions of the student-teacher about himself and what he seek as a future professional. The research is qualitative interpretative and we adopted the case study method. We analyze the path of a student of Letras’ course of a private university of south of Brazil in a discipline based on the multiliteracy. The data show how students, who come from the lower social class, when working with technologies need to be hosted and inserted so that they can develop and transform as students and as citizensen
