dc.description.abstractConflicts generated by condominium troublesome have been growing steadily, and much of it derive from bordering noise to people who only seek peace. This may not necessarily be linked to the source of noise, but to a precariousness of the old Brazilian buildings, which do not satisfactorily fulfill the ability to isolate noise. With the implementation of the Performance Standard (NBR 15575:2013), rules were established for the assessment of the acoustic performance, thus increasing the requirement of buildings regarding acoustic quality. In this way, this work aimed to analyze the use of a computational tool for simulating sound transmission in a multifamily building in the Bento Gonçalves city, and simultaneously carry out the measurements of field tests, according to the Performance Standard, comparing the results obtained. SONarchitect software was used for the simulation, which uses the calculations proposed by ISO 12354: 2017 to estimate. The field tests have already been carried out in accordance with ISO 16283, a standard that replaced ISO 140, which is recommended for use in Brazil. It showed that several weighted results presented similar values, differentiating it to the maximum in 2 dB for both airborne noise as the impact.en
