Retail, a crucial segment on market, in Brazil, represents around 20% of PIB and has more than 20 million employees (IBGE, 2017). In United States, retail importance is similar having more than 20 million employees (US Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2018) and 16% of PIN relevance (US Bureau of Economic Analysis, 2018). The purpose of this dissertation is presenting a systematic analysis from a meta-analytical approach regarding the antecedents, consequences and moderating effects of the technological acceptance model (TAM) in the retail context. That is why, it analyzed 85 articles that generated 431 effect sizes. Among the main results, the strongest antecedent effect for Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) was the quality of the system and for Perceived Usefulness (PU) it was perceived pleasure. Interestingly, the system quality was also the strongest antecedent for PEOU in meta-analysis in the banking sector (SANTINI et al., 2019). Thus, this dissertation contributes to the literature by consolidating the results of several previous studies on the subject with divergent results.en
