Access to Higher Education in Brazil, historically, has been restricted to a small part of society, a part endowed with privileges of social class, gender and color. It is in this - and in combat to this - exclusionary scenario that social initiatives like the Popular Pre-Vestibular Courses (CPVPs) emerge, movements that seek to democratize Higher Education. In the past few years, other forms of youth and adult life have been having more and more access to the university and, one path that has enhanced this process is the existence of CPVPs. This work investigated who they are and how some of the stories of this new university public are, and how they relate to the current university model in Brazil. To this end, the research used Participative Survey as a methodological basis and semi-structured interviews with four graduates from a CPVP in Porto Alegre / RS as a procedure to produce data on these stories. Among some findings of the research, it is possible to highlight that the production of intersectional axes between and by different realities - having this course as a meeting point - proved to have a great power in the struggle for democratization not only of access, but also permanence in Higher Education. The project proved to be quite important to support, along with its graduates, their own struggles. Struggles that, especially those of black women, challenge the numbers, challenge the social positions and make stories - which, in addition to exclusion, have a lot of invisible subjective production - circulate in spaces dominated by a hegemonic way of being/existing/listening/living in the form of new images and new points of view. Struggles that produce, therefore, constant displacements like forms of insurgencies from below.en
