The High School stage and, mainly, discussions about the curricular dimension are emphasized today. Such an atmosphere is triggered mainly by the emergence of curricular policies that aim to produce a new High School. In the neoliberal plots, in the context of contemporary capitalism, a set of governmental rationalities emerges that guide political investments in Secondary Education, with a purposeful focus on flexibility, changing the curricular organization of this last stage of basic education. In this context, this study aimed to understand the meanings of flexibility in Brazilian high school in the last decade. Thus, it is interesting to ask: How are the meanings of flexibility presented and articulated in the printed educational media researched in Brazil during the last decade? To this end, the present research chose, as empirical materiality, texts and articles from Pátio Magazine: High School, Professional and Technological. In making this choice, we did not seek to centralize the analysis in this journal, but in its surface, that is, in what the publication makes visible, seeking to problematize the practices that make the constitution of meanings of flexibility visible today. Through a documentary analysis, the study approached Foucault's theorization regarding the understanding of documents as monuments. As an analytical grid, it was based on the Foucault Ian concept of government technology and the concepts of individualization, accountability and aestheticization tools. As notes, the research evidences the constitution of three senses of flexibility in the researched context: the curricular flexibility guided by the offer of flexible curriculum as an attractive varied menu; the flexibility of pedagogical practice in the organization of time, spaces and methods; and flexibility as a skill to be developed in the production of subjectivities capable of managing its own capital of competences, developing it as a skill of the contemporary and entrepreneurial subject.en
