The aim of this study is the elaboration of an inventory of the gypsum waste generated in civil construction works, through primary data and characterization with emphasis on the class change of the waste. The methodology adopted for the development of this study involved the elaboration of an inventory from the perspective of the Life Cycle of a construction site, where it considered the estimation of the potential environmental impacts of the sector and evaluated the change of class of the gypsum waste, from C to B in accordance with Resolution 469 of CONAMA. The Life Cycle Inventory was performed by the use of primary data measured in a work. The study consisted of 5 steps, being the diagnosis of the object of study, performed in loco; the collection of primary data on inputs and outputs of raw material and gypsum waste; construction of the inventory, following the adapted flow referring to the conduction of an inventory analysis; identification of the final destination and the respective potential impacts of the gypsum waste, by comparison with studies already carried out and survey in loco; and validation of the data and comparison of the results obtained in the study with existing inventory databases from the perspective of the allocation, considering two scenarios, such as the recycling of gypsum waste and landfill disposal. The results obtained show that 1.59 kg of waste/m2 of constructed work is generated. Regarding the impacts, it was possible to identify that the inadequate disposal causes social, environmental and economic damages. Regarding the change of class of gypsum waste from C to B, it was verified that the previously unconsolidated forms of recycling are directly related. Because the gypsum waste separated from the other waste reacquires the chemical characteristics of the mineral.en
