This thesis approaches an Education undergraduate course structure after the approval of Law nº 11.645/2008, discussing its implementation, as well as the challenges and possibilities that emergedduring its execution – either in the curricular context, either in other situations. The research was conducted at the Regional Integrated University of High Uruguay and Missions (URI), located in the city of FredericoWestphalen/RS, by means of interviews with professors, students and the Education undergraduate course coordinator. It sought to analyze the conceptions and forms of implementation of Law nº 11.645/2008 at different moments and spaces of students' undergraduate education process. The research problem emerged from the following question: How Law nº 11.645/2008 has been implemented in URI's Education undergraduate course (FredericoWestphalen Campus)? It is a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory approach, based on documentary analysis. In addition, the research included direct classroom observation and comprehensive interviews. Among the main results, it is possible to highlight the discussions established along the comprehensive interviews, as well as information gathered in this process, generating reflections on the undergraduate students' educational project, which is still inspired in the Eurocentric inheritance concerning curricular organization, since it establishes limited and specific moments for discussions related to Law nº 11.645/2008. It was also possible to show that the effective implementation ofthislawdemands much more than the provisions stated on institutional documents, because it requires commitment from institutions and professors in order to think, to reorganize and to redesign actions and strategies that can surpass the curricular context of one or more classes, enabling institutions to seek a deeper understanding of issues related to historically constructed perceptions in our society.en
