This article presents a critical analysis of the impact of new architectural design strategies, linked to the theoretical reference of the WELL Certification and the emerging studies of Neuroscience for Architecture, regarding the wellness and the mental health of the users in a building in phase of reform and re-adaptation of sectors. The building investigated is a corporate type and is in the process of reforming and re-fitting its infrastructure into the administrative sector. The exploration of the Project was made from interviews and site visits to capture the actual design strategies by the client company and the architects involved. These strategies are linked to the important requirements of WELL Certification, which aim to appeal to wellness, also grounded by “Neuroarchitecture”. The mentioned work was partially delivered until the conclusion of the studies, enabling a post-occupation research with the employees impacted by the new environment. After the data collection, some significant results were obtained in terms of aesthetics, organization and comfort. In contrast, there is still little information regarding mental health reflected in the physical wellness of users.en
