The main goal of this study was to elaborate an educational booklet on the theme of Accelerated Thinking Syndrome - ATS and the possible consequences of the use of technologies in the life of school children and adolescents aged between 10 and 15 years old. Method: This is a cross-sectional study using an exploratory, descriptive and quantitative approach. It was carried out at Caminho do Saber school, located in the city of Caxias do Sul, state of Rio Grande do Sul. The survey involved 437 parents and guardians, and 22 teachers from the school under study. For data collection, a multiple choice closed-ended questionnaire was used, based on the Likert scale. The analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and a spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel®). Result: The results show that parents and teachers use technology in their daily lives. Considering that most parents are unaware of the ATS, its damages and its consequences, and that using technologies over 2 hours a day may be harmful to school learning. Discussion: The present study aims to contribute to teaching, research and health care, enabling discussion on the subject, facilitating dialogue and reflection about the health of children and adolescents, guiding parents and teachers about the risks of ATS in school environments due to the use of technologies. Conclusion: Given the results and the importance which the theme proposes, one asks for a better visibility and questioning about the damages that the ATS may cause to children and adolescents. If one is affected by ATS, the earlier its signs and symptoms are identified the better the diagnosis, consequently a specific treatment without major damage.en
