In the context of professional education, training students for a labor market that professionals seeking able to act critically and creatively presents itself as a major challenge. With the hypothesis that design can contribute to the resolution of this problem, the objective of this master's research was to investigate the contribution of the construction of future scenarios to generate meaningful experiences for students. The methodological procedures have qualitative exploratory and was carried out in five stages of research: interviews with experts, interviews with stakeholders, cultural probe to identify significant experiences, workshop of building scenarios and focus group for analysis of results. By conducting interviews with two representative professional from labor market, called stakeholders, it was possible to identify that most business organizations values professionals who have more than technical knowledge. The skills in communication, relationship and propose of creative solutions are advantages to hiring and promotions. When interviewing two experts of vocational education area, it showed that it is necessary to develop methods to promote practical experiences that generate meaning to knowledge, respecting the different profiles of students. Among other things, the research design tool called cultural probe showed that the main expectation of students is professional success. They also hope that the lessons are fun, that teachers are motivators and supporters. The exercise of building future scenarios was carried out by a workshop, with the following participants: a designer, two teachers and two students. The conversation promoted by the process reached four different scenarios, called hi tech, full flex, low tech and traditional. The scenarios constructed can be characterized as "possible futures" and positive, as the designed elements promote interactions between the user / student and professional education, creating meaningful experiences and aligned to the demands of those involved in the area.en
