dc.description.abstractThe Botanical Garden of Caxias do Sul figure as a territory with great potential of dissemination of environmental awareness to the city, the second largest in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. This study develops a meaning of innovation for the place through the strategic design methodology and conducted contextual and non-contextual researches, highlighting an interview with caxienses citizens. The content of the researches and interviews originates themes, categories and signs, that make possible the comprehension of the meaning of a botanical garden for caxiense population and originate the scenarius in the meta-project. Based on one of the scenarios was proposed a vision, presenting a concept that allows a project design direction for the appreciation of the Botanical Garden of Caxias do Sul.en
