Departing from the assumption that interface culture represents an immeasurable revolution not only in terms of impact, but also regarding social, cultural and historical changes, the concept of interface is directly related to the practical usefulness of design. Within this context, hyperlinks, which are tools responsible for the concept of interface, also represent a means for the consumption of information and content. As changes occur, a multitude of opportunities for information consumption have been offered by digital devices. In the beginning, newspapers were printed only; later, newspapers on the internet and on a variety of mobile platforms were created. These new tools allow readers/users to consume information as they wish, in a practical and portable way. This considered, the present study investigates Zero Hora – the main printed means of communication in Southern Brazil -, aiming to discuss how print media may be revitalized, in order to compete with the current digital tools. Before our analysis is presented, however, a new reading of the concepts that underlie the definition of responsive design proves necessary. We presently know that responsive design is a solution that enables the layout of a site to adapt to any format. Therefore, we may suggest that design is an information tool itself.en
