Abstract

They compelled the use of our language to get at essential basis like the church, the school and the family. Actually, the nationalization campaign was part of a largest project of building a Brazilian nation with Getúlio Vargas as the leader. That's why it was important to keep a national memory, including, commemorative's dates because it forced the nationality when the new symbols were fix. The police was in charge of keeping the order if there was any resistance. The shock between the nationalization and the German's principles will be setting in a German colonization area located in north-west of Rio Grande do Sul called Neu-Württemberg/Pindorama/Panambi. It will be pointing at some of the happenings in the nationalization campaign. The research is from bibliography sources, bureaucratic documents and newspaper from private and regional files, as well as oral statements.
